Primrose Leaf

This detailed Victorian life cast of a primrose leaf was originally made in the 19th century by famous cast makers D. Brucciani & Co (London) and supplied to the British Museum. This replica has been handmade by the Nicholas H Wood studio.

Although Brucciani was known for making classical replicas, his firm also made life casts of natural objects, such as plants and fish, for the purpose of scientific study and also for art references for artists. 

This wall sculpture has a metal wall hook attached on the back for hanging.
