Huge plaster cast replica of the Elgin Marbles from the Doric Frieze of the Parthenon. Handmade by the Nicholas H Wood studio

This frieze is derived from Panel II, one of the fifth-century BCE Pentelic marble originals in the Duveen Gallery at the British Museum. The rectangular panel is rendered in low relief and depicts two mounted horsemen drawing their horses to a halt; the leading rider turns back, his left arm raised, while a cloak billows from his shoulders.

The Parthenon Sculptures are a collection of different types of marble architectural decoration from the temple of Athena (the Parthenon) on the Acropolis in Athens.

This dramatic plaster relief has a picture rope attached on the back for hanging on the wall.

Dimensions: 107cm (height) x 170cm (width) x 8cm (depth).

Weight: 25kg (approx).
