Water Carriers
Beautiful low relief plaster replicas of nymph water bearers, taken from the Fountain of Innocents in Paris. Available individually or as a pair. The plaster reliefs have a metal wall hook attached for hanging, although they also look lovely propped on the mantelpiece as pictured. Handmade by the Nicholas H Wood studio.
The Fountaine des Innocents, originally called the Fountain of the Nymphs, was built in Paris, France, between 1547 and 1550, and features sculptures such as these nymph plaques by renown sculptor Jean Goujon.
